Job Description:
The Integration Engineer is responsible for the deployment of network equipment at T-Mobile’s MSC’s. The primary goal of this position is to contribute to superior network reliability by turning over fully tested, commissioned, and working network equipment to local operations. This includes coordinating with vendors and equipment such as, Alcatel, Nokia, and Tellabs. Equipment includes MGW, MSS, DCS, ATM, IP, UMTS-RNC, etc. Ideally, an Integration Engineer always ensures that newly deployed network equipment is compliant with what was paid for and is installed properly, allowing the MSC staff to concentrate on the important task of running the network. Develops Methods of Procedures (MOP) and reviews with market Operations. Provides onsite detail design of equipment installation and integration. Provides as-built updates and design creation. Develops detail engineering design package (EDP) for installation and integration design.
The group works closely with the other engineering and operation groups within T-Mobile USA. Peer groups within the Regional Team include: Project Management, Transport Engineering, Planning, Network Engineering, Operations, Network Provisioning, RF Engineering, Regional Cell Site Development, and Facilities.
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
In-Depth Knowledge of Alcatel 7670 RSP
In depth knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Analytical skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
2-4 years Network Engineering experience; 1-2 yrs relevant telecommunications experience
