Job Description:
our client is looking for a Technical Support Engineer for National Engineering and Operations Team to support the deployment and operation of the next generation of Mobile Switching Center (MSC) technology to;
-Support for the integration of new equipment and software into the T-Mobile Network
-Provide technical subject matter expertise and training to client front line Network Operations Technicians.
-Management of vendor support relationships and ensuring that operational service levels are maintained with regard to problem escalation.
-Participation in a 24x7 On-call support rotation.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a technical development, test or support type role within the telecommunications industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong Understanding of GSM Network Signaling protocols such as ISUP, MAP, RANAP, ALCAP, DTAP and TCP/IP and good UNIX knowledge.
- Proven analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- UMTS experience preferred.
- Alcatel Call Server experience preferred.
Preferred skills:
Strong Understanding of GSM Network Signaling protocols such as ISUP, MAP, RANAP, ALCAP, DTAP and TCP/IP and good UNIX knowledge.
