Job Description:
Primary duties and responsibilities
Facilitate all aspects of the project life cycle for large scale Payroll Upgrade Project for 40k employee base organization, including project scope, schedule, resources, costs, requirements, design, testing, deployment, and handoff.
? Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks, facilitates task assignments to project resources, and monitors and reports on task the project status.
? Develops detail project schedules, resource plans, status reports, and contributes to the effectiveness of a project team that integrates multiple functions/disciplines.
? Conducts project meetings, sets and manages client expectations by escalating issues, status reporting, and facilitating change management.
? Interfaces with all areas affected by the project, including end users, internal business partners, IT resources, application and consultant vendors, and implementations partners.
? Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprises management of issues effecting project status and offers solution to solve the issues. Escalate issues needing Management support immediately and effectively.
? Ensure satisfactory transfer of custody and control of product upon completion (handoff) and close all project documentation and archive appropriate records.
? Leads in the coaching and mentoring of business analysts and other project managers on expectations, deliverables and overall project control.
Must have Payroll and Human Resources process and systems expertise and have implemented successfully large scale initiatives.
Functional and technical skills
? MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
? Sound understanding of industry-accepted Project Management methodologies: ASAP, PMBOK, and/or SDLC
? Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments with little direction.
? Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables.
Experience
? 5 to 7 years of experience in project management, or relative leadership experience, with proven history of successful project deliverables
? Experience managing projects related to HR Systems, especially SAP, strongly desired
? Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering infrastructure and software development projects, including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change.
? Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
? Able to manage multiple projects from average to complex independently.
? Well-developed leadership skills in a matrix organization structure.
Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, effective leadership capabilities, Payroll and Human Resources process and systems expertise and have implemented successfully large scale initiatives.
